Students, from select universities, will have the opportunity to attend the expo FOR FREE and have the chance to make connections in the produce industry.
At this premiere expo event YOU will get a chance to:
Meet The Mentor
Meet between 2-10 mentors, who are all TIPA members, that will show you around the floor for 30 minutes, answer questions and provide context on their involvement in the produce industry
Everything You Need to Know
Learn about internships and job positions available in the fresh produce industry
Build a Connection
Network with potential employers
Exploring The Expo
Walk the show floor and connect with industry leaders, business owners, fresh produce professionals and other business professionals
Did You Know?
As a college student you get the opportunity to meet people in the fresh produce industry with decades of experience and gain access to internships and job openings. This is an opportunity to explore the food industry as a potential career, not just a consumer. Your dream job could be in reach, so why wait?
How Can I getthis opportunity?
To get a chance of attending this premier expo you must have the following qualifications:
Currently a student at any Texas College or University
Have interest in potentially exploring career options within the produce industry
Work with your college advisor to submit an application
Opportunity Deadline
The program is open to students from all career paths. Please adhere to the following schedule for the opportunity to attend the Viva Fresh Expo on April 13, 2024 in Houston, TX.
February 1
Submit final list of participating students
February 22
Provide basic bios for participating students
February 25
Submit resumes of participating students (w/approx graduation date)
March 1
Viva Fresh will provide all attendees access to EDGE website with resumes and bios of participating students
Late March
TIPA to host online webinar for participating students about the Industry/What to Expect Webinar
April 13
Viva Fresh Expo (8 am- 5 pm)
